We will complete a study about Florence Nightingale and explore museum artefacts to understand why she is a significant person in history. We will study 'Lost and Found' and 'The Snowman'. We will explore polar regions through non-fiction books and imagine what it would be like to live there.
Maths - We will continue to explore numbers and place value to 20 as well as addition, subtraction and 2D and 3D shapes.
Science - In Year One we learn lots about seasonal change.
Geography - We will be measuring the weather, using simple tools. We will explore different types of weather and look at how artists depict he weather in their paintings.
R.E - Time to celebrate! We will be focussing on festivals and celebrations around the world such as Christmas!
Art - It's all about colour this half term as we explore the colour wheel and learn about the primary colours. We will use our knowledge of colour to create pieces of art inspired by Wassily Kandinsky and Alma Thomas.
Trips - Pantomime! Robin Hood 16th December.
