Reading
Reading is one of the most important skills that we learn. We would really appreciate your support, by hearing your child read at home.
Your child will receive house points as an incentive.
If your child reads with you please date and sign their organiser, so we can annotate this for the children to move along the reading track.
Spellings
Children will be given spellings to learn every week and will be tested on a Friday. There are spaces in the organiser for children to practice and parents are encouraged to practice with children writing and saying their spellings.
This year we have introduced spelling lessons into our daily timetable. We practise spelling patterns and ways of learning our spellings.
